Delete your account
You can permanently delete your Chordfier account and its associated Cloud Sync data directly in the app. No separate website login is required.
Steps in the app
- Open Chordfier on the Android device where you are signed in.
- Tap your profile picture in the top-right corner.
- Tap Delete account.
- Review the deletion summary and confirm.
- If requested, sign in with Google again to verify that you own the account.
- Keep Chordfier open until it confirms that deletion is complete.
Data deleted
- Your Chordfier authentication account and its Firebase user identifier.
- Your Cloud Sync profile, folders, session metadata, chord results, and synchronization records.
- The matching signed-in library partition, recordings, enhanced playback copies, and cached account information stored by Chordfier on that device after cloud deletion succeeds.
- Optional Chordfier analytics data on that device is reset when the account lifecycle is cleared.
Data that may be retained
Service providers may retain limited security logs and backup copies for the periods required by law or their platform obligations. Chordfier does not offer new in-app subscriptions or purchases.
Delete some data without deleting the account
To remove only selected data, open History in Chordfier and delete the relevant session or folder. When signed in, the deletion is synchronized to the account. Raw recordings are local and are removed from the device with their corresponding recorded session.
If deletion cannot be completed
Reconnect the device to the internet and retry from the app. For additional help, use the public support contact listed under Developer contact on Chordfier's Google Play store page.
